To celebrate cooler weather, and the liberation of Bill’s sweater vests from the far end of the closet, I’m going to be working on argyle patterns this week.
For this sketchbook page, I tried to let go of my inner art school control freak. Normally I would have used a ruler to make the lines perfectly spaced, and then would have masked off each of the lines to make sure all of the painting was perfectly straight. I used up some leftover paint in almost complementary colors (blue-green and almost red-orange mixed with white). The lines are painted with black mixed with blue-green.
